Nordic College of Caring Science

Nordic College of Caring Science (NCCS) is a society for Nordic researchers in Caring Science. The society promotes the development of Caring Science by support and dissemination of knowledge within the field of Caring Science, nationally and internationally.

Scandinavian Journal of Caring Sciences (SJCS) is an established quarterly, peer reviewed journal with an international reputation. As the official publication of the NCCS, the Journal shares their mission to contribute to the development and advancement of scientific knowledge related to health, well-being, caring and the alleviation of human suffering.

The purpose of the Research Fund (NCCSRF) is, in relation to the NCCS definition and purpose, to support the scientific development of care science as a starting point for all care. The foundation provides financial support to Nordic research projects that contribute to knowledge about respectful and dignified care of people in different life situations, contexts and in different cultures, especially with regard to their health, suffering, lifelong disabilities and impending death.
